What to expect when I attend a class?

Photography classes for every level

Classes for Feb and beyond will be posted shortly.

In a photography class, you can expect to learn about the technical aspects of photography, such as how to properly use your camera and its various settings, as well as how to compose a photograph and create visually appealing images. You may also learn about lighting techniques and how to edit and process your photos using software such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.

Computer Classes (Post Editing)

In these technical classes, you will be provided a table, chair, and power for your own laptop. There will be a TV screen up where you can see the instructors screen clearly as you follow along, but you do need to bring a laptop with the required software already installed to get the most out of the class. These classes are limited to 4-5 people at a time so that you can get one on one help if you get stuck while still allowing us to keep a decent pace up for all.

Model and Shoot development

These's class may cover subjects such as portrait photography, fashion photography, and other types of photography that involve working with models. During theses classes, you may have the opportunity to work with a professional or upcoming model and be given guidance on how to pose and direct them, as well as how to work with lighting and other technical considerations.

In addition to learning about technical aspects of photography, you may also learn about how to communicate and collaborate with a model, hair and makeup and other creative partners to create successful images. This may involve discussing the theme or concept for the shoot, giving direction, and finding ways to make the model feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
